Compared to the SWK Carbon Mast 1.8 / 13 / 85, the profile is 3 mm thinner, which reduces drag and increases responsiveness: it's the ideal setup when using smaller front wings or aiming for maximum top speed.
Built with the same 100% M40 high modulus carbon fiber construction as the SWK Carbon series, it uses an optimized layup of unidirectional (UD) and biaxial prepreg fibers to achieve the lowest possible flex and torsion. The result is a lightweight, ultra-stiff, and precise mast that provides a direct and stable connection to your foil, delivering that “locked-in” feel that demanding riders seek.

SWK Carbon Mast Technology
Crafted from a proprietary high-density acrylic foam core, the mast achieves an optimal balance between lightweight construction and structural rigidity. The lamination utilizes TORAY® M40J Hi-Modulus carbon fiber, with a mix of unidirectional (UD) and biaxial layers to maximize strength, stability, and torsional rigidity. The 3K carbon outer skin provides a perfectly smooth and durable surface.
With a tensile modulus of 54.7 Msi and a tensile strength of 640 Ksi, TORAY® M40J carbon is one of the finest PAN-base fibers available, used in premium sports applications requiring superior stiffness and control.
Note: Toray® M40J carbon fibers are among the most advanced and expensive on the market, with limited production and longer lead times. It's possible to make lighter masts using lower-quality fibers, but often at the expense of torsional and lateral stiffness. In foiling, stiffness is the real key to performance: only then can you achieve durability, precision, and safety in every outing.
