Verso 2027 – Progressive Freeride Windsurf Board
The fast-progression platform for those looking to improve, from intermediate to advanced intermediate level.
Developed using coaching data collected in the field by Windwise coach Simon Bornhoft, the Verso was born from real feedback from riders of all levels. The qualities that enable the fastest possible progression in a board were precisely identified and then incorporated into the design. Available in 110, 122, 138 and 154-litre sizes.

Stability
The carefully designed volume distribution ensures solid stability for pulling the sail up, tacking, and managing difficult moments when not planing. Stepping into the footstraps is predictable and controlled: less time struggling with the board means more time building confidence.
Planing
Fast, reliable acceleration for very early planing. The progressive hull line maintains drive through gusts, lulls, and out of the tack. Put it on its rail to go full speed and you'll still feel the acceleration pushing you beyond your comfort zone.
Tacking
Tacking is the hardest maneuver to learn. The Verso's volume distribution, rocker, and outline make it easier: the width offers a more stable approach and more margin for error when positioning your feet, the rail profile guides the turn and foot change, while the flatter rocker promotes a clean sail rotation and planing speed on the exit. Proven to make tacking more consistent.
Simplicity
Everything is already set up for you. The dedicated Verso Powerbox fin is ready to use, and three logical footstrap positions cover the key stages of progression: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. The fin and straps can be mounted and adjusted in a few seconds with the included HEX4 wrench.

HEX4 Wrench
One tool for everything: fin screws, footstrap mounting, and… a bottle opener. Compared to a Phillips screwdriver, the 4 mm hex wrench requires only a turning motion without having to push, and the boomerang shape provides the leverage needed to tighten the straps with a fraction of the effort.
Robust construction
Full Wood lamination on the deck and hull with heavy-duty reinforcements. Bi-axial glass reinforcements in impact zones (mast base, nose, and heels). The Rail Bands add parabolic reinforcements for greater responsiveness.
The coach's opinion
Simon Bornhoft wanted a board to teach his students on: extremely easy to get planing, the most reliable, and the most rewarding for tacking. In his courses, he has repeatedly seen a marked increase in successful clean tacks and first planing exits, to the point where no one ever wanted to return it.
Recommended combinations
For the ideal progression package, pair the Verso with Convert or Gator sails, with an RDM Red mast and Enigma carbon boom for superior performance.

Who is the Verso suitable for?
It is designed for windsurfers in the progression phase: from those who have just started planing to advanced intermediates who want to consolidate their use of straps and harness and learn to tack while planing.
Which size should I choose?
It depends on your weight, level, and usual wind conditions. Generally: 110 L for light riders or strong wind (3.5–7.0 m² sails), 122 L for all-round use (3.7–7.5 m²), 138 L for medium riders or light wind (4.0–8.0 m²), 154 L for heavy riders or those looking for maximum stability (4.2–8.5 m²). Do I need to change the fin based on the sail size?
No. The included Verso fin easily covers a wide range of sail sizes.
How many footstrap positions does the Verso have?
Three: inside, center, and outside, designed respectively for beginners, intermediates, and advanced intermediates.
Which sails are recommended with the Verso?
The Verso pairs with many types of sails. For the ideal progression package, Convert and Gator sails are recommended.
Can the Verso be used with a foil?
No, the Verso is not designed for foil. Dedicated foil freeride boards like the Alien are available.
Is the fin included?
Yes. Every Verso comes with its dedicated Powerbox fin (41 cm for 110 and 122 L, 43 cm for 138 L, 45 cm for 154 L) and the HEX4 wrench for mounting.
Is the Verso available with a nose guard?
Yes. You can choose the version with a factory-fitted nose guard by selecting the "Nose guard: Yes" option. It protects the bow from mast impacts during falls, ideal for those learning and for school use.
Can I buy just the nose guard?
No, the nose guard is not sold separately: it is factory-fitted, so it must be selected at the time of purchasing the board.
Where can I find spare parts (footstraps, screws, drain plug)?
You can request them directly from us: we will help you find the correct spare part for your Verso.
The footstraps are too wide; can I narrow them?
Yes. Just turn the plastic inserts at both ends of the footstrap: the width is reduced and the fit becomes tighter.
Is the Verso also suitable as a school board?
Yes. It was developed together with a professional coach and tested with students of various levels: its stability, ease of adjustment, and robust construction make it ideal for schools and windsurf centers.
