Inflatable Double Chamber Windsurf Board

The Starboard Airplane 2025 is the inflatable windsurf board designed to bring the "full power" planing feeling to an inflatable version. Thanks to its extremely rigid double chamber technology, reduced thickness, and ergonomic rails, it offers control, stability, and a planing performance surprisingly similar to a rigid board.

Concept and Intended Use

The Airplane is designed for those who want the practicality of an inflatable board without sacrificing the authentic feeling of planing windsurfing. It is ideal for freeriding, advanced learning, travel, and use in spots where storage or transport space is limited.

Next-generation inflatable planing

The combination of a rigid double chamber, 3D rail edge, and fine-tuned rocker defines a new category of inflatable planing boards, with significantly superior acceleration, jibe control, and speed compared to traditional inflatables.

Main Technologies

Double Chamber Deluxe Lite

The Deluxe Lite Double Chamber construction integrates a second internal chamber that stiffens the board's central structure, reducing flex and improving stability. This results in greater control, quicker planing, and added safety in the water.

Woven Drop Stitch Fusion Welded

The woven drop stitch technology, applied to the top and bottom, uses a woven fabric (not knitted) with glue-free PVC lamination, which guarantees greater rigidity, less extension under load, better long-term stability, and reduced weight. The "welded" fusion further improves strength and durability.

Welded Rail Technology

The rails are joined using an advanced heat-welding process that mechanically connects the upper and lower layers, eliminating glue in critical points along the edges. This system reduces the risk of leaks and makes the board extremely durable in the long term.

Full Power Planing – Rail Edge 3D

The 3D elastomeric Rail Edge creates a defined water release along the rails, allowing for clean release, greater speed, and grip in carve jibes, while remaining foldable for transport. This invention has made true planing possible on inflatable boards.

Fine Tuned Rocker

Each Airplane size has a meticulously designed rocker to balance lift, glide, and maneuverability. The result is a board that planes easily, maintains speed, and remains predictable in jibes and maneuvers.

Practical Details

Fins and simplified setup

The rear fin box is permanently integrated into the hull, making the bottom cleaner and reducing drag. This design improves early planing, top speed, and simplifies assembly, eliminating complex removable components.

RPET Wheeled Bag

The board comes with a wheeled roller bag, made from 450D RPET fabric from recycled bottles (30–50 bottles per single bag). The ripstop fabric design increases resistance to wear and tear and makes transporting the board and accessories tidy and convenient.
