   Always use a mast bag for storage and transport.
   Avoid impacts and check for visible damage before each session.
   Remember: Carbon is vulnerable to impacts.
2. Sand Protection
   Clean all components before rigging.
   Use tape between base and top.
   Never force sections together if you feel resistance.
   Rinse with fresh water after sailing.
3. Tension Management
   Release downhaul tension after sailing.
   Never store mast with full downhaul.
   Store straight when possible.
