The NeilPryde ATEC F 27 is the new 2026 forged aluminium boom with a completely updated look, designed to withstand intense sessions and ensure class-leading stiffness. It is the stiffest aluminum boom ever made by NeilPryde, designed as a real alternative to carbon booms without sacrificing performance.
Compared to the ATEC F 29, the ATEC F 27 maintains the same characteristics of precision and solidity, but with a grip diameter reduced to 27 mm for a lighter feeling in the hand, greater comfort and a more sensitive response on the water.

Technologies and construction details
VT Joint
The VT Joint increases the contact area between the boom bow block and the mast, reducing point loads and minimizing play in the connection. It can be used with any standard SDM mast and allows for simple and precise boom height adjustments while maintaining very direct power transmission.
V-shaped Mast Cup
The mast cup creates two points of contact between the cup and the shaft, resulting in a very tight engagement and efficient power transmission. The V-shape accommodates normal variations in standard diameters: slightly thinner shafts sit deeper into the V, wider ones further out.
Optimized block angle
The angle of the blocks has been optimized to make tightening and loosening the line extremely easy, preventing the line from loosening or moving involuntarily during the session.
Integrated Boom Lever
The integrated boom lever allows for quick and intuitive closing and opening, and is designed with a reduced surface area and light weight. This way the system remains compact, clean and functional without adding clutter to the front end.
Trim-Pin Lever Design
