SEVERNE PYRO – Wave Board
Designed in collaboration with 5× World Champion Philip Köster .
Fast, powerful, and versatile. Use it twin like the Köster for maximum freedom and playfulness. In racing, the thruster provides early planing and better upwind performance. When the waves get serious, switch to quad for grip and down-the-line reliability.
The latest generation of PYRO uses advanced paints and construction techniques to be among the lightest and highest-performing boards available. Every detail has been engineered for performance. Everything is premium .

The PYRO is now equipped with NYCA fins : injection technology with a blend of thermoplastic polymer and carbon fibers for ideal rigidity , abrasion resistance and low weight.
Performance Geometry
A single concave that evolves into a Vee towards the tail creates fast, low-drag central rocker lines: early planing and great speed. Putting it on the rail, the 3D curves change: the low edge in the single concave rises in the final Vee for a surf-inspired rocker , capable of big cutbacks and vertical top turns.

Fins & HEX4 System Setup
With 5 slot boxes, the PYRO is extremely versatile and adapts to your preferences and conditions. The HEX4 system makes changes quick: experiment and find what works best for you.
Twin
The most free and fun. On windy days with playful waves, it's Philip's daily choice.
Thruster
Earlier planing and better management of strong currents and irregular winds.
Quad
The most stable. When it's large and requires extra grip, it offers reliability and solidity.
NYCA Fins
NYCA technology uses a blend of thermoplastic polymer + carbon fibers to achieve:
- Efficient active stiffness (targeted flex patterns).
- Lighter and more durable than G10/RTM.
- Greater resistance to impact and abrasion.
Front side fins: acceleration and drive; pronounced rake, advanced profile for more lift and less drag.
Rear Side Fins: Wider base for stability and great drive.

Q&A – Frequently Asked Questions
What is the recommended/alternative fin setup for the PYRO?
The PYRO was designed to work in TWIN , THRUSTER and QUAD configurations . Philip Köster uses all three setups depending on the wind and waves.
What is the difference between NANO and PYRO?
- NANO : shorter, fits tightly into the wave pocket and carves very strong turns; requires more technique; exclusively quad .
- PYRO : more versatile , early planing , faster ; offers twin/thruster/quad set-ups.
Do I need to remove the Gore-Tex air vent for travel or on a plane?
No. Do not touch or remove the Gore-Tex cap: it automatically regulates the internal pressure of the board.
Should the air vent be replaced over time? How is it done?
We recommend replacing it every 3 years . You can find instructions in the brand's Product Care section.

- Italy: Free shipping on orders over $50. For lower orders, a shipping charge may apply.
- EU countries: Cost starts from €24.90 for orders under €200, the price however may vary depending on country and volume of products. The exact calculation is displayed during checkout.
- For bulky products (boards, sails, foils, SUPs, kayaks, etc.) a surcharge may be required. It will always be clearly communicated prior to order confirmation.

- We ship with specialized express couriers (GLS, BRT, DHL, UPS, SDA, etc.), selected according to product type and delivery area.
- All products are packed carefully and, where necessary, with reinforced packaging to ensure maximum safety during transport.
