La Mod Fish colma perfettamente il divario tra mid length e shortboard. Stabilità e sensazione generale sono rassicuranti. Le fish sono larghe con nose pieno, il che crea pagaiata veloce e stabilità: ottima per prendere onde e generare velocità.
Se cavalcata più corta di un mid length offre una manovrabilità molto migliore. Il plan shape della coda e la doppia concave permettono virate più strette per un surf verticale e cutback in pocket.
La Mod Fish va bene nella maggior parte dei tipi di onda e condizioni, da ginocchia a sopra la testa, pulite o mosse.
Costruzione - TET
La costruzione originale Torq, un modo completamente nuovo di costruire tavole da surf.
Per prima cosa viene soffiato un blank della dimensione finita esatta con un peso di EPS misurato. Non vengono sagomate a mano né a CNC: sono perfette al primo colpo, forma perfetta, peso perfetto, struttura della schiuma perfetta.
Il blank viene rivestito con tessuto in fibra di vetro biassiale e l'esclusivo Shield Skin, con un volume di resina epossidica dosato al computer.
Uno stampo di pressa secondario, tagliato con precisione CNC da un unico blocco di alluminio, viene usato per far polimerizzare la resina, riscaldato per una distribuzione perfetta.
Quali sono i vantaggi?
Precisione: niente sagomatura, carteggiatura o lavoro ad occhio. L'intero processo è controllato (densità della schiuma, contenuto di resina, inserti pinne).
Meno sprechi: niente sagomatura significa niente scarti. Il tessuto viene steso a secco, i ritagli sono riciclabili e la resina è dosata a peso senza sprechi.
Durata: il tessuto biassiale è più resistente della tela normale e ne viene usato di più grazie alla stratificazione efficiente. I blank usano EPS ad alta densità e resina epossidica, più resistente del poliestere.
Sostenibilità: processo a basso spreco, lunga durata, produzione a energia solare, materiali locali, spedizione in scatole sottili senza sbiancanti e imballaggio senza plastica. I box pinna sono in plastica riciclata certificata GRS e UL.
Come vanno in acqua?
La sensazione è simile al PU. La fibra di vetro extra assorbe bene le vibrazioni, senza la reattività ultraleggera del TEC: una sensazione neutra e leggera, reattiva ma indulgente.
