The Vision XL was created for light-wind days. It builds on the balanced and easy-to-use Vision platform, adding light-wind-specific profiles, fuller wingtips, and optimized canopy tension. This gives it more power at the low end, makes it more maneuverable, and allows it to plane earlier. It gets you up and flying sooner, keeps you up in lulls, and remains easy to control when the wind picks up.

The high dihedral and swept tips keep the wingtips out of the water when launching, a crucial detail on large wings. The Vision XL also features a lightweight and durable Teijin D2 canopy, a rigid boom, and a TruView window, with the comfort and visibility typical of the Vision range. When every knot counts, the Vision XL makes the difference.

• Radial panel cut: the fabric fibers follow the flight load lines, making the canopy cleaner and stronger.
• 3-stage hybrid leading edge: 160 g/m² material in the center for stiffness and 140 g/m² at the tips to reduce swing weight.

When is the Vision XL the right choice?

When you often ride in light wind, for example on lakes, lagoons, or spots where the breeze is irregular. The Vision XL gets you up and flying sooner and keeps you up even in lulls, so you spend more time on the water and less time watching the flag.

What is the difference between the Vision XL and the Vision?

They have a lot in common, but the XL has revised profiles that generate more power and pull in marginal wind. It is designed specifically for light wind and places less emphasis on the top of the range. For this reason, the canopy tension has also been refined, for a very clean and efficient canopy.

Why not a large Mantis?

The Mantis has a low dihedral that limits its effectiveness in larger sizes, which is why Cabriniha does not produce it above 6 m². The Vision XL has a higher dihedral: the tips touch the water less easily and visibility is better, two very important aspects on a large wing.

Which size should I choose between 6.5 and 7.5 m²?

The 6.5 m² covers 8 to 20 knots and is the most versatile if the wind at your spot varies. The 7.5 m² starts at 5 knots and is the choice for those who want to ride even on the weakest days or for heavier riders. Write to us with your weight and your spot and we will recommend the right size.

Isn't such a large wing awkward to handle?

Thanks to the compact low aspect ratio, the wingspan remains manageable and the wing is well balanced. The high dihedral and swept tips keep the tips out of the water when launching, and the rigid boom with the front handle provides precise control even when the wind picks up.

What is in the package?

The wing with the boom, a duffel bag with a roll-top closure, the repair kit, and the stickers. The pump is not included.

What pump is it inflated with?

The Airframe system inflates the wing from a single point and is compatible with standard wing and kite pumps.

How durable is the fabric?

The canopy is made of Teijin D2 Ripstop, a double ripstop fabric made in Japan and treated against tears, UV rays, and abrasion, with Teijin 75 panels on the trailing edge.
