Features
Starboard technical garments are made with Clima Core technology: a waterproof and windproof membrane that adapts to external conditions thanks to its breathable structure and that, depending on the temperature, retains or disperses body heat to maintain constant comfort.
The three-layer elastic fabric, combined with a waterproof front zip and latex cuffs on arms and legs, protects against water and wind even at low temperatures. Reflective details on arms and legs improve visibility in low light conditions (dawn/dusk), while cuffs extended to the back of the hand offer extra protection from the elements.
Thanks to the waterproofness of the garment, it is also possible to combine, depending on the temperature, intermediate thermal layers under the wetsuit (the same "onion" principle used in skiing): this allows you to stay in the water comfortably and safely even in very harsh conditions.
Fit
Unlike neoprene, the SUP wetsuit is very quick to put on and take off: it does not absorb water, just shake it to remove drops and you are always ready to wear a perfectly dry wetsuit for the next outing.
The breathable and particularly elastic fabric allows for a body-hugging fit. The cuffs of the arms and legs and the waist are adjustable with Velcro fasteners: depending on the temperature, one or more thermal layers can be worn under the wetsuit.
The long front zip and special neoprene neck increase comfort of use, ensuring a good seal without chafing the skin. The back panel construction also offers greater freedom of movement, particularly during paddling, making the wetsuit extremely comfortable thanks to the elastic and breathable Ultra Flex Clima Core outer fabric.
