Start 2 – Windsurf & Wing Entry Board
The Start 2 is the ideal entry-level board for both windsurfing and getting your first taste of winging. The wide center rails and long, flat bottom with a rounded tail provide immediate glide, while the nose kick effortlessly overcomes chop. When moving, the board is efficient and balanced; with a little more wind, shift your weight back, put your back foot outside the colored area, and start planing with confidence.
- Easy turns with the Drake Shallow 22 fin for stability during foot changes.
- Quick jibes thanks to the tapered tail and rounded front rails.
- Set-back daggerboard: sailing upwind is easier and without “backwind”.
- Visual guide: colored oval in the center to position the feet for beginners.
- Rhino construction: thick and durable ABS hull (double wrapping on the rails), perfect for schools and centers.
- Note: the side fins are not used in windsurfing.

Is it suitable for winging?
Yes, it is the best “first time” board for windsurfing and winging. The center stability and flat bottom help with
traction and sail/wing handling during the first outings.
Which size (S/M/L) should I choose?
S (231 L) 40–60 kg • M (271 L) 60–80 kg • L (317 L) 80–100 kg.
If you are a complete beginner or want maximum stability, choose one size up.
What is the colored oval in the center for?
It is a visual guide for the beginner foot position: it helps with balance and control during the first maneuvers.
When do I use the daggerboard and side fins?
The daggerboard helps in light wind and for sailing upwind (it is set back to avoid backwind).
The side fins (Sail Fin) are included only in the Red/No Pad versions and are not used for windsurfing.
Is it really “school-proof”?

- Italy: Free shipping on orders over $50. For lower orders, a shipping charge may apply.
- EU countries: Cost starts from €24.90 for orders under €200, the price however may vary depending on country and volume of products. The exact calculation is displayed during checkout.
- For bulky products (boards, sails, foils, SUPs, kayaks, etc.) a surcharge may be required. It will always be clearly communicated prior to order confirmation.
