The JP Magic Wave S-TEC is JP's most versatile waveboard: a true high-performance all-round waveboard capable of performing in almost any wave condition. It was designed to be the go-to board for JP riders, the one you choose when you don't know what to expect but still want to give it your all.

Ultralight S-TEC construction
The 2026 series introduces S-TEC technology for the first time on the Magic Wave. The result is a weight reduction of approximately 400 g compared to the previous generation, while maintaining the same level of robustness. No paintwork: a more technical "naked" look and fewer grams.
- Anti-slip areas only in room areas.
- More compact pads: less EVA and less glue.
- New lamination process with individually prepared and laminated fibre skins.
The Innegra is replaced by a premium S-Glass , combined with Biax Carbon reinforcements and UD Carbon layers under the high-density PVC. The bottom laminate completely wraps around the rails and overlaps the deck laminate, creating an additional “stringer” along the rail for added rigidity and impact resistance.
Shape & Behavior
Shaper Werner Gnigler redesigned the outline of the Magic Wave to find a new balance between control and maneuverability:
- Wider tail with swallow tail for early planing and greater agility, especially in small, radical waves.
- Slightly narrower nose for extra precision without sacrificing stability.
- Volume balance designed to help overcome white-water and get back on track even in marginal conditions.
- More central balance point for quick rotations and radical transitions on the wave face.
The footstraps and fins are positioned slightly further back: this allows for powerful backfoot turns while maintaining exceptional control on the wave, while the more parallel outline in the tail increases grip and precision in both frontfoot and backfoot riding. Hull & Fin Setup

- Flatter scoop-rocker in the central area for easy planing and speed.
