If you're a light to medium weight surfer who often rides in strong winds and steep waves, the 83 is more of an edge-kicker. If you're looking for a little more support and range, go with the 88. Both have a −4 cm pin box, set-back inserts, and a −3.5 cm board for precision and speed.
What advantages do sharper rails towards the stern provide?
