The NeilPryde ATEC 28 is the new 2026 aluminum boom that replaces the previous XA aluminum boom, with a completely updated look and a monocoque construction designed for windsurfers of all levels. It offers many of the high-end components of NeilPryde's top-of-the-range booms, ensuring the best balance of strength, control and comfort.
The ATEC 28 version adopts an ergonomic 28 mm handle, designed for those who prefer a fuller and more solid grip, with further increased robustness thanks to the extra millimetre of thickness on this 170–220 cm size.

VT Joint
The VT Joint increases the contact area between the boom and mast, reducing the risk of point loads and minimizing play in the connection. It can be used with any standard SDM mast and allows for easy and precise boom height adjustment.
V-shaped Mast Cup
The mast cup provides two points of contact between the cup and the shaft, creating a tight connection and good power transmission. The V-shape accommodates the normal variations in standard diameters: slightly thinner shafts fit deeper into the V, while wider ones sit further out.
Optimized Cleat Angle
The new clew block angle is optimized to make pulling and releasing the line super easy, ensuring that the line doesn't loosen or move unintentionally during the session.
Integrated Boom Lever
The integrated boom lever allows for quick and intuitive attachment and release, with reduced surface area and reduced weight, for a compact and lightweight front end.
Trim-Pin Lever Design
