It combines E5 Flashlining, E5 Thermo Lining, E5 Stretch and taping at high-stress points. A 5/3 mm wetsuit is designed for cold water, approximately 9–14 °C. In Italy, it's a typical choice for surfing from November to March; on colder days, you can pair it with boots, gloves and a hood.
What does it mean that the wetsuit is "neoprene-free"?
The Dawn Patrol's foam is not petroleum-based; it's made from FSC-certified natural rubber, enhanced with oyster shell powder and plant-based oil. It offers insulation and stretch comparable to traditional neoprene, with a higher bio-based content.
Which is better, Back Zip or Chest Zip?
The Back Zip is easier to put on and take off, making it ideal if you value convenience or have broad shoulders. The Chest Zip seals slightly better around the neck and allows greater freedom when paddling. The Dawn Patrol is also available in a Chest Zip version.
What do sizes ST, MS, MT, LS and LT mean?
These are length variations of the standard size: "T" (Tall) is for taller, slimmer builds, while a final "S" (Short) is for shorter builds. For example, MT is a longer M, while MS is a shorter M. Use the size chart based on your height and weight.
What is E5 Flashlining?
It's an inner lining made of two engineered layers that retain warmth in the water and, when the wetsuit is hung up, quickly drain water to speed up drying between sessions.
Are the seams watertight?
GBS seams are glued and blind-stitched without stitching all the way through the material, minimizing water entry. The highest-stress points are reinforced with E5 tape.
Can I also use it for windsurfing, kitesurfing or wing foiling?
Yes. Although designed for surfing, the E5 material's stretch and the warmth of the linings also make it suitable for windsurfing, kitesurfing and wing foiling in the cold season.
How should I care for and store the wetsuit?
After each use, rinse it with cold fresh water and let it dry inside out in the shade on a wide hanger. Don't fold it for extended periods. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, tumble dryers and harsh detergents.
Where can I keep my keys while in the water?
The wetsuit has an internal key pocket, so you can get in the water without leaving your car keys unattended.
