The Allround Grand Tourer
The Allwater GT was born after JP Australia developed the Allwater Race boards. Once the team felt how stable, fast, and easy to paddle this shape was, they knew they'd found the ideal formula for a performance-oriented touring board.
The magic of this shape comes from high volume in the nose and tail for lift and stability in all conditions, a wide square tail, and a concave bottom for maximum stability and waterline efficiency. The result is a board that performs equally well in rough water, on downwind runs, and on flat water — the true "allwater" experience.
Front and rear bungee tie-downs keep your gear secure — stash a towel or your personal belongings in a waterproof duffel bag and everything stays exactly where it should for a comfortable cruise.

Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of paddler is the Allwater GT Biax designed for?
The Allwater GT is built for intermediate to advanced paddlers who want a fast, stable touring board. Its race-inspired shape suits paddlers moving from a pure touring board into more performance-oriented paddling, including flat water cruising, choppy conditions, and downwind runs.
What's the difference between the 12'6" and the 14'0" versions?
The 14'0" is longer (426 cm vs 381 cm), slightly narrower (70 cm vs 72.4 cm), and offers more volume (343 L vs 322 L), which generally means more glide and speed for a given paddler weight. The 12'6" is more compact and maneuverable while still offering excellent stability. Choose based on your height/weight, storage and transport constraints, and whether you prioritize top speed (14'0") or agility (12'6").
Is this board stable enough for someone new to touring or all-water paddling?
Yes. The high-volume nose and tail, wide square tail, and concave bottom are specifically designed to maximize stability without sacrificing speed, making it more forgiving than a dedicated race board while still offering performance for more experienced paddlers.
Can I use this board in rough or choppy water?
Yes — the Allwater GT is designed as a true "allwater" board, meaning it performs in flat water, rough/choppy conditions, and on downwind runs, not just flat water touring.
What is "Biax" construction?
Biax refers to the board's fiberglass composite layup, built to deliver a strong, lightweight, and responsive ride. It is JP Australia's composite construction used across their performance board range.
What fin comes with the board, and can I change it?
Each board ships with a Race 8.4" US RTM fin fitted in a US fin box. Since it uses a standard US fin box, you can swap in other compatible fins to fine-tune tracking and maneuverability for your conditions.
How much does the board weigh, and is that exact?
The 12'6" weighs approximately 14.6 kg and the 14'0" approximately 16.3 kg. Both figures are estimated by the manufacturer with a +/- 10% tolerance, as is standard for composite board manufacturing.
How do I carry my gear on this board?
The board has bungee tie-down areas at both the front and back. You can secure a towel, dry bag, or other personal items — for example inside a waterproof duffel bag — so your gear stays in place while you paddle.
What accessories do you recommend for this board?
We recommend the JP Boardbag Light SUP to protect your board during storage and transport.
How should I store and maintain a composite SUP board?
Store the board out of direct, prolonged sunlight and extreme heat (e.g., not left inside a hot car), rinse it with fresh water after use in saltwater or chlorinated water, and use a padded board bag for transport and storage to protect the composite shell from dings and impacts.
Does this board come with a warranty?
Please check with our store for current warranty terms, as these can vary by region and retailer.
