Starboard HYPER – Pure Quad Power Wave
The new HYPER is a pure power wave quad-fin weapon, developed with Antoine Martin (Aloha Classic winner) for a radical and progressive surfing style. Fewer compromises, more extreme: narrow outline and tail, thin rails, and pronounced tail concave for lightning-fast reactions, endless drive, and secure grip in high-speed bottoms.
Why HYPER
- Pure Quad: narrow platform + concave tail → adaptability in powerful waves and fast breaking swells.
- Double-in-Mono Concave in the middle of the board + aggressive rocker: requires a bit more sail push to start, but stays connected and turns confidently in critical moves.
- Thin and sharp rails towards the tail: control in support and precise carving.
- Target: from side-on with small waves (experienced riders, power stance) to side/sideoff steep and powerful where to seek the most radical and “secure” ride.
