Funzionalità
I capi tecnici Starboard sono realizzati con la tecnologia Clima Core: una membrana impermeabile e antivento che si adatta alle condizioni esterne grazie alla sua struttura traspirante e che, a seconda della temperatura, trattiene o disperde il calore corporeo per mantenere un comfort costante.
Il tessuto elastico a tre strati, abbinato a zip frontale impermeabile e polsini in lattice su braccia e gambe, protegge da acqua e vento anche a basse temperature. Dettagli riflettenti su braccia e gambe migliorano la visibilità nelle ore di luce scarsa (alba/tramonto), mentre i polsini prolungati fino al dorso della mano offrono una protezione extra dagli agenti atmosferici.
Grazie all’impermeabilità del capo è inoltre possibile abbinare, a seconda della temperatura, strati termici intermedi sotto la muta (lo stesso principio “a cipolla” usato nello sci): questo permette di stare in acqua comodamente e in sicurezza anche con condizioni molto rigide.
La vestibilità
A differenza del neoprene, la muta SUP si indossa e si toglie molto rapidamente: non assorbe acqua, basta scuoterla per eliminare le gocce e si è sempre pronti a indossare una muta perfettamente asciutta per l’uscita successiva.
Il tessuto traspirante e particolarmente elastico consente un taglio aderente al corpo. I polsini di braccia e gambe e la vita si regolano tramite chiusura in velcro: a seconda della temperatura è possibile indossare sotto la muta uno o più strati termici.
La lunga zip frontale e il collo speciale in neoprene aumentano il comfort d’uso, garantendo una buona tenuta stagna senza sfregare sulla pelle. La costruzione del pannello posteriore offre inoltre maggiore libertà di movimento, in particolare durante la pagaiata, rendendo la muta estremamente comoda grazie al tessuto esterno Ultra Flex Clima Core, elastico e traspirante.
