- Fiancata smussata (bevelled rail) - Riduce l'area di planata aumentando velocita' e accelerazione; l'angolo del bevel permette transizioni rail-to-rail senza sforzo; la fiancata piu' sottile richiede meno pressione per iniziare la virata.
- Sagoma di prua - Stabilita' e linea di fiancata piu' lunga per maggiore velocita'; profilo rail sottile e affusolato riduce lo swing weight.
- Sezione centrale parallela e spessa - La sagoma parallela aiuta a impegnare la fiancata per velocita' lungo la linea, mentre la sezione centrale piu' spessa da' galleggiamento e mantiene lo slancio nelle onde piu' piccole.
- Coda a Wing - Crea una rottura nella linea di fiancata: stabilita' dalla larghezza extra davanti al wing, controllo e risposta migliori dietro.
