AFS Foil Kit – Enduro + UHM Mast + Fuselink + Silk Stabilizer

A complete high-performance foil kit designed for downwind, wingfoil and dockstart , with a smooth, surfy feel in the turns and ultra-direct response thanks to the UHM carbon mast.

The heart of the setup is the Enduro Front Wing (AR 11) : exceptional glide, efficient pumping, and surprising lift at low speeds. The Fuselink guarantees modularity and balance, while the Silk Stabilizer adds control and smooth transitions for clean carving.

  • AFS Enduro Front Wing (choice of size)
  • AFS UHM Carbon Mast (80 / 85 / 95 / 95 Race)
  • AFS Fuselink Fuselage Standard 68 cm (optional on request 65 cm)
  • AFS Silk Stabilizer (132 or 146)

*Always check the compatibility of your setup (board/US box, Fuselink/Switch interface) before assembly.

Strengths of the kit

  • Glide + reference pumping with Enduro (AR 11): fast and surprisingly easy.
  • Lift at low speeds for early starts and intuitive flight management.
  • Ultra direct feeling and reduced drag with UHM Carbon Mast (top of the range).
  • Modularity and tuning of the foil character with Fuselink Standard/Short .
  • Wave-oriented carving with Silk Stabilizer: fluid curves, control and smooth transitions.

Quick size guide (Enduro)

  • 1300 / 1100 : ultra light wind, downwind, dockstart, parawing (rider ~85 kg+).
  • 1000 : ultra light wind / downwind / dockstart (rider ~75 kg).
  • 900 / 800 : downwind carving, wingfoil freefly carving, surf foil small wave, dockstart (expert riders).
  • 700 : High speed downwind gliding/carving with great control.
  • 600 : fast downwind for advanced riders (maximum speed, looser feeling).

*Compatibility Note: This front wing can be used with Fuselink poles and also with Performer poles using the Switch fuselage as an interface between the systems.

2) Silk Stabilizer

Stabilizer developed for smooth cornering, controlled cutbacks, and soft transitions. Optimizes the balance between longitudinal stability and cornering freedom.

Silk Stabilizer Dimensions

Model Surface area (cm²) Aperture (mm) AR Max rope (mm) Max thickness (mm) Construction Weight (kg) Screws Compatibility
Silk 132 132 300 6.8 59.8 7.1 HR Carbon 0.1 M8 X 12 mm All Front Wing

Silk 152 152 340 7.6 58.3 6.9 HR Carbon 0.1 M6 x 12 mm All Front Wing

Quick size guide (Silk Stabilizer)

  • Silk 132 : lightweight rider / powerful waves / more radical style → looser and more responsive feeling.
  • Silk 146 : medium/heavy rider or soft waves → more support, pumping and all-round wave control.
  • Silk 152 : Heavy rider or soft waves → more support, pumping and all-round wave control.

Alternatively you can choose the High Aspect versions for a greater glide

Silk HA Stabilizer Dimensions

Model Surface area (cm²) Wingspan (mm) Aspect Ratio Max rope (mm) Max thickness (mm) Construction Weight (kg) Screw size (mm) Compatibility
Silk HA 38 135 380 11.9 43 6.5 HM Carbon 0.1 12 All AFS fuselages
Silk HA 40 145 405 11.3 43 6.5 HM Carbon 0.1 12 All AFS fuselages
Silk HA 43 155 430 10.6 43 6.5 HM Carbon 0.1 12 All AFS fuselages

Size guide – choosing the size

The choice between the three sizes depends mainly on the rider's weight, the surface area of the Silk/Silk HA front wing and the level of support you want when pumping and turning.

Model Rider profile / recommended use
Silk HA 38 For lightweight or advanced riders looking for maximum smoothness and a very “loose” feel, ideal with medium/small surface front wings and more radical wave riding.
Silk HA 40 More versatile option for intermediate riders who want a balance between glide, support and freedom in turns, suitable for all-round surf foiling and wing foiling.
Silk HA 43 For heavier riders or those who want more support and ease, especially in softer waves or for pumping and light downwind sessions.

If you're looking for a single stabilizer for wave riding and gliding foiling, the Silk HA 145 is generally the best compromise; 135 for maximum freedom, 155 for more comfort and support.

3) UHM Carbon Mast

Ultra High Modulus carbon shaft for maximum stiffness, precision, and smoothness. Thin profile and optimized chord to reduce drag and increase efficiency and glide.

UHM Carbon Mast Dimensions

Model Length (cm) Minimum string (mm) Minimum thickness (mm) Construction Weight (kg)
UHM 80 80 115 13.8 UHM Carbon 2.0
UHM 85 85 115 13.5 UHM Carbon 2.0
UHM 75 75 115

4) Fuselink Fuselage

Modular fuselage of the Fuselink platform, designed to balance performance and ease of use. Available in Standard (more stability) and Short (more responsiveness).

Fuselink Versions

Version Character Construction Compatibility
Fuselink Standard More stability and control Carbon Fuselink Platform (compatible components)
Fuselink Short (on request) More responsiveness and maneuverability Carbon Fuselink Platform (compatible components)

Quick size guide (Fuselage)

  • Standard : safer and more versatile choice (stability, progression, control in chop).
  • Short : For intermediate/expert riders who want tighter turns and a livelier response.

Quick setup tips (kit)

  • Downwind / marginal / pumping easy : Enduro 1100–1300 + Mast 85/95 + Fuselink Standard + Silk 146.
  • Fast all-round : Enduro 900–1000 + Mast 85 + Fuselink Standard (or Short if advanced) + Silk 132/146 OR HA.
  • Radical / narrower carving : Enduro 800–900 + Mast 80/85 + Fuselink Short + Silk 132.
  • Maximum technical speed : Enduro 600–700 + Mast 85/95 (Race if needed) + Fuselink Short + Silk 132.

*The final feeling also depends on the board, strap position, shims and riding style.

Q&A – Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this kit for?

It's ideal for intermediate/advanced riders looking for a complete set-up for downwind, wingfoil, and dockstart , with excellent glide and fluid carving. The UHM is designed for those who want the ultimate in stiffness and precision.

Which Enduro size do I choose if I only want one front wing?

For a very balanced one-foil quiver, 900–1000 is often the most versatile range. If your focus is low-wind/easy downwind (or heavy weight), consider 1100–1300 . If you're advanced and looking for speed and technical carving, 800–900 is a top choice.

Standard or Short Fuselink? Which is better?

Standard = more stability and control (recommended as a first choice). Short = more responsiveness and tight turns (looser), recommended if you're already confident and want a livelier foil.

Silk 132 or 146: what's the difference in water?

132 makes the setup freer and more responsive in turns (radical style). 146 gives a bit more support and control, useful with soft waves, heavier riders, or for easier pumping.

Which mast do I choose as “one” for wing + downwind?

Generally, 85 cm is the most versatile choice. If you do a lot of downwinding in rough seas or want more margin over chop, 95 cm is ideal. 80 cm is best for surf/prone or shallow spots.
